About

I’ve been building PCs since I was a kid — back when a “fast” CPU was measured in megahertz and you needed a boot disk to get CD-ROM drivers loaded. I’ve worked in IT, I’ve run a small system-building business, and I’ve spent way too much money on hardware I didn’t need but wanted to test anyway.

This site is where I write about the stuff I test. Reviews, guides, tips, and the occasional rant when something in the industry annoys me enough to care.

Why trust me? You shouldn’t, automatically. Read a few reviews, see if my conclusions match your experience or make sense given what you know. If they do, great. If they don’t, there are plenty of other reviewers out there. I’m not trying to be the voice of authority — I’m just trying to be honest about what I find.

What I’m not: I’m not a professional benchmarker. I’m not chasing affiliate revenue. I’m not trying to build a media empire. I’m one person with a test bench and a lot of opinions about PC hardware and gaming.

The stuff I cover: Mostly GPUs, CPUs, peripherals, and the occasional case or cooling solution. Sometimes I’ll do a deep dive on retro hardware — rebuilding old rigs, tracking down parts that are nearly impossible to find, that kind of thing. Those posts take forever but they’re fun, and they’re a nice break from reviewing the 47th mechanical keyboard with RGB and “gamer” in the name.

If you want to get in touch, there’s a contact page. I read everything, though I’m slow to respond sometimes.
