Battlefield 6 Season 3 Update 1.3.1.0 Patch Notes – Everything New

Season 3 of Battlefield 6 starts on May 12 with Game Update 1.3.1.0. The patch goes live at 09:00 UTC across all platforms, and all new content unlocks at 12:00 UTC — that’s when Railway to Golmud, Ranked Battle Royale, new weapons, and the Season 3 Battle Pass become playable.

The season is called Warlords: Supremacy, the first of three chapters that will roll out over the coming months. The premise: PAX Warlords are taking the war global, and every squad needs to claw their way up the combat ladder. It’s not subtle storytelling, but the content backing it up is substantial.

New Map: Railway to Golmud

The headline addition is Railway to Golmud, described as Battlefield 6’s biggest map to date. It’s a reimagining of a classic — a sprawling combined-arms playground that stretches from a ruined village and hill-scarred tank country to a tight industrial zone built for close-quarters fighting, all connected by a moving railway that squads have to fight for control of. Infantry, armor, jets, and helicopters all have room to operate here.

Three New Weapons

M16A4 — The iconic assault rifle makes its Battlefield 6 debut. Fully automatic and burst-fire modes, carry-handle iron sight option. It’s built for mid to short-mid range.

L115 — Bolt-action sniper for long to very-long range. Multiple attachment compatibility. Not for impatient players.

RPK-74M — A light machine gun for Support players who want sustained, controlled fire at range. Low recoil, steady feel, and a solid alternative to heavier LMG options.

Ranked Battle Royale Quads

Ranked BR Quads arrives as Battlefield 6’s first competitive mode. Ranks run from Rookie up to Master, with an Elite 250 leaderboard on top. Rewards are permanent. DICE describes this as the start of competitive play in BF6, so expect it to evolve.

Season 3 Battle Pass

100+ tiers across four themed paths: Recruit, plus three additional tracks leading to a “legendary Warlord” unlock. Rewards include weapons, soldier skins, XP boosts, and the return of Dagger 13.

Battlefield Pro is the premium tier — 25 Tier Skips, a +5% XP Booster, six instant unlocks, exclusive Vehicle Radio Station, and support for hosting up to 100 players in Portal. The Battle Pass menu has also been cleaned up: better navigation, corrected season celebrations, and fixed pricing display.

Vehicle Overhaul — The Big One

This is arguably the most impactful change in 1.3.1.0. Land and air vehicles have been through a full balance pass.

Tank damage and angles:

  • Turret hits always deal 75% damage
  • Body hits deal at least 100%
  • Side hits at a favorable angle: 150%
  • Rear hits at a favorable angle: 200%
  • MBT health increased to 1200, APT reduced to 800

Regeneration rework:

  • Regeneration delay increased from 6 to 12 seconds
  • Now regenerates to full health (no more stopping at brackets)
  • Regeneration rate doubled: ~5% to 10% per second
  • Critical health no longer stops regen — it just slows it by 80%

Tracked vehicle handling:

  • New transmission and steering system for smoother acceleration and tighter turning
  • Tanks are no longer immobilized by high damage (AT mines still do the job)
  • Boost can be re-applied mid-recharge, and the bar no longer empties when interrupted

Weapon damage values have been extensively tuned across MBTs, IFVs, helicopters, and jets — specifics for each platform are detailed in the full changelog below.

Gadget Changes

Several anti-vehicle gadgets received significant adjustments:

  • M15 AV Mine: Now deals 390 damage to tanks, max placement increased from 6 to 9, no longer despawns after owner dies
  • MBT-LAW: Much faster missile — initial speed from 30 to 100 m/s, max from 75 to 300 m/s
  • SLM-93A / 9K93 IGLA: Both retuned — lower max speed, updated damage values
  • LTLM II Laser Designator: Effect duration cut from 20 to 9 seconds, now gives a flat 20% lock-on range bonus
  • Engineers Supply Crate: No longer has limited charges in standard multiplayer — resupplies nearby vehicles indefinitely
  • Hardware Suppression System: Can no longer target gadgets through walls at long range, and grenades are now excluded from interception

Weapon Balance

  • Recoil increased across all automatic weapons to better define their effective range brackets
  • High-DPS automatic weapons took the biggest recoil increases
